Protein Factory

The Protein Factor Unit (PF) has been created to help research institutes and pharmaceutical industries in the production, purification and characterization of recombinant proteins and monoclonal antibodies.

The Protein Factory unit is at the forefront recombinant proteins production and purification. The cloning methods, based on high throughput screenings (HTS), allow to insert cDNAs of interest in various vectors with a multiple choice of TAGs (belonging to our library of versatile vectors). The expression conditions are optimized in different host cells (i.e. mammalian, several bacterial strains and baculo).

The performances of the Protein Factory Laboratory are flexible according to customer needs and to the target protein, following the target production from the early stage to the scale- up (medium scale). The Protein Factory is specialized in the production of recombinant proteins, biosimilar, monoclonal antibodies or standard for immunoassays.

Extraction and purification of recombinant proteins and antibodies on a small, medium and large scale (Akta system/GE Healthcare)

 

Development and validation of analytical tests concerning structural analyses, biochemical studies and tests of biological activity, particularly:

a. functional tests on the produced proteins, ELISA (EnSpire - Multimode Plate Reader/PerkinElmer)
b. binding tests (Biacore  T200/ GE Healthcare)
c. structural analysis of circular dichroism (J-1500 Circular Dichroism Spectrometer /Jasco)
